Ever since childhood I have been working with my hands. I studied Fine Art and Architecture at UC Berkeley, where I found my passion for sculpture, while also studying other mediums. I was deeply interested in the human figure, and following graduation I dissected a cadavre and did extensive anatomical drawings, which took many months to complete. I lived in Italy for 2 years where I worked in sculpture studios and bronze foundries, while also traveling and studying the art of Europe. In the decades that followed I produced many sculptures, including private commissions and public works, and in the 60's and 70's I exhibited extensively in galleries in the San Francisco area. I also devoted a period of several years to doing architectural work in both residential and commercial projects around the country.
